The eyes are seen as cute and very animated, making it look pretty and innocent. Expressing that the algorithm can be resourceful in some cases. But when you take a closer look at what the sculpture is covering, it reveals a very realistic eye that looks eerie and unsettling. The animated eyes were a cover-up for the real eye below. 25 x 23 x 23in Clay and acrylic on ceramic wheel sculpture
There are negatives and positives to the algorithm. This piece shows two pieces filled with bright colors, but it also shows two of the exact same pieces that are in black and white. The colorful pieces show reality and what is expressed on the outside to the society. The black and white in the middle are the behind the scenes action - what society doesn’t see and the dark secrets of the algorithm. Watercolor on paper 24 x 72in
The beam of light is reflected onto the prism and creates different colors that show the results of one action turning into multiple. The man playing with his shadows displays him as a real person and his shadows follow his movements, but virtually. 24 x 36in Oil on canvas
Most of the ceramic pieces in this still life were handmade by my mother while she was in art school. These pieces were displayed on different shelves and corners of my home. Each piece is so familiar to me, immediately giving me a sense of comfort and peace. 18 x 24in Watercolor on paper
After making a representational drawing of hands reaching for precious, life-giving water, against the backdrop of our society’s ongoing quest for “diamond luxury” amid continual environmental catastrophes, I hand fabricated multiple colored-resin mixes and poured them over specific areas of my watercolor to create an abstract, polluted ocean landscape. Watercolor, resin, and beads on paper 18 x 48in

There is pollution and actual fires incited by man’s irresponsibility and negligence. 24 x 18in Acrylic on canvas
Human demand for power, resources, and more technology pollutes the Earth we all inhabit together. No matter how much the atmosphere is deteriorating, we continue to thirst for natural resources. 18 x 24in Acrylic on canvas
The stench of burning trash and melting plastic is difficult to convey through limited visual means. Toxins fill our air and seep into our lungs. Nonetheless, as long as the pollution is an arm’s length away, we continue on with our lives as if there are more pressing matters. 18 x 24in Acrylic and trash bags on canvas
